Kris Kristofferson ist tot. Der US Country Sänger und Songwriter ist am Samstag friedlich zu Hause auf Maui (Hawaii) gestorben, teilte die Familie am Sonntag (Ortszeit) mit. Er wurde 88 Jahre alt. Kristofferson galt als einer der bedeutendsten Songwriter aller Zeiten. Seine Songs wurden von Musik-Legenden wie Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Joan Baez, Willie Nelson, Janis Joplin und Ray Charles gesungen. Erfolgreich war er auch in Film und Fernsehen. Über die Ursache seines Todes gab es zunächst keine Angaben.
